What is optimal lineup functionality?

The optimal lineup functionality allows users that keep scores during their games on Rookie Me Play, to auto assign players to their best suited playing zones (Forward, Midfield, Back) or individual playing positions based on the sport. How do I set my optimal lineup?

  1. Using an Australian football example, firstly select the optimal lineups button (this is an advanced / expert licence feature only).

  1. The playing positions for Australian football are set into three zones of Forward, Midfield and Back. The user must then decide which zone to prioritise first as players can often be the better players across multiple zones but cannot be in two places at once.

  1. After selecting apply, Rookie Me Hub will then look through the average plus minus performance for all players in the team over the selected season. Then based on the user selection from step 2, the algorithm will then select the best performing players for the given zone then move on to select the next best players for subsequent zones.
