Metrics - Explaining Environment Points
What are environment points?
The environment points are a measure of a coaches ability to spread fair and equal opportunity for their players. It is a score out of five provided for each match based on the criteria below.
Environment Point Criteria:
- Report Integrity - Where the report integrity (explained elsewhere) is greater than 2 for the given game, the coach is awarded 1 environment point.
- Fair Game Time - Where the coach has provided an even spread of game time (explained elsewhere) with a fair game time rating of > 75 for the given game, the coach is awarded 1 environment point.
- Minimum Game Time - Where the coach has given all players the minimum game time threshold (explained elsewhere) for the given game, the coach is awarded 1 environment point.
- Disciplinary - Where there have been no players sent off for disciplinary action, the coach is awarded 1 environment point.
- Bench Spread - Where the coach has not started the game with the same player on the bench for two matches in a row, the coach is awarded 1 environment point. Note if the match is the first of the season, the coach is awarded 1 environment point by default.
