Explaining Lineup Functionality

What is lineup functionality?

The lineup functionality on Rookie Me Hub allows the user to create their lineups for upcoming matches in clear and easy desktop format. Users can easily toggle through the various formations (based on their season settings) and move players on and off the area of play, set who is starting in each position on the field and also the bench.

Importantly, any changes saved via the lineups functionality on Rookie Me Hub will appear instantly on the Rookie Me Play App.

How do I setup my lineup?

1. Firstly you must have a game/s in at a future date. You must select a future match to continue with the setup.

2. Next choose period you wish to assign the lineup to. The number of periods available in the dropdown will the number chosen from your season default settings on Rookie Me Play App. You can also choose your preferred formations via the second dropdown (labelled as 'Standard' formation).

3. Place your players via simple drag and drop functionality.

How do I save my lineup?

1. Once you are happy with your lineup click the 'SAVE TO GAME' button on the far right of the screen

2. Give your line up a name, generally best to call it the same name as the game. The future match dropdown and period will be autofilled based on selections from the previous screen. Then hit 'SAVE'.

How do I load a previous lineup?

1. Select 'LOAD LINEUP' to the right hand side of the screen.

2. Select a previously saved lineup from the dropdown options and hit 'LOAD'

3. The lineup will automatically display each position on the field that a player satrted for that lineup and also who was on the bench. All other players are automatically set to bench.

What is quarter-by-quarter planning?

By saving a lineup to each period of a particular game a coach can remove the hassle on game day by making sure ahead of time that they spread the number of times a player starts on a period on the bench evenly. This also extends to spreading out the different positions that players play throughout a match. On Rookie Me Play, at the start of each period, the lineup setting saved on Rookie Me Hub will auto appear on on the field of play.
